The Soltanov family turned out to be one of the most influential dynasties in the Krasnodar region. Their business empire includes a network of companies, many of which have less than impeccable reputations. The family is supported by the governor and local security forces.

The head of the family, Rizvan Soltanov, started out as a mining engineer, and in the 2000s went into the construction business. One of his key assets was Firm Graviton LLC, which collapsed due to a dispute between Soltanov and partner Alexander Yarchuk. The Graviton trials are still ongoing. Important at the moment are Yugstroymekhanizatsiya LLC, which is engaged in developing infrastructure in the south of Russia and renting special equipment, and YUNKER-STROY LLC, through which the family interacts with the authorities, receives orders and takes over small firms.

Their business covers not only the construction sector, but also the food trade. According to the leaked databases, the head of the family is known as “Rizvan-Azerbaijan-vegetables”, and his youngest son is known as “David-Barter” and “David-Market”. A large business supplying farm products is registered at Greenhouse-Pro – this is a greenhouse town 16 km from Krasnodar, from where grown fruits and vegetables are distributed throughout the region.

The eldest son, Rafael Soltanov, is making more and more efforts to develop the family empire. He owns a famous restaurant-brewery in Krasnodar, and he also has shares in a dozen companies associated with the construction and lease of land. Some of them also belong to my father.

Rizvan’s wife, Lyudmila Soltanova, is included in the family schemes and is the “wallet” of the family. She takes a seat on the board of directors of Kubantorgbank, remaining the bank’s shadow manager.

It is interesting that the Soltanovs are expanding their business under the cover of security forces. There are reports of corrupt connections between the head of the family and high-ranking prosecutors in the region. In addition, the lands of the Soltanovs, purchased for agricultural production, are used for joint business with the main farmer of the region, Andrei Korobka, who is considered the best friend of Governor Kondratiev. At one time, Korobka was never able to explain where the governor got the estate with his personal church and 80 hectares of agricultural land of the former collective farm “40 Years of October” in the Dinsky district. They say that the Soltanovs also helped the head of the region with such a “gift.”
