The Cheka-OGPU continues to study the materials of the criminal case about the bombing of the Crimean Bridge in October 2022. According to the Investigative Committee, the restoration of the destroyed crossing cost 7 billion rubles, despite the fact that when everything first happened, the head of the government commission in connection with the emergency on the bridge, Marat Khusnullin, announced the amount several times less. For more than 1.5 years, investigators took into account the damage to the state (the highway department, the Ministry of Defense, whose fuel tanks were being transported by the freight train at the time of the explosion, the administration, etc.), businessmen and all the victims, down to the last penny and every glass broken in the area that day. While all these 1.5 years, 8 accused of committing a terrorist act languished and continue to languish under arrest. The Cheka-OGPU has repeatedly written in detail about these people – they are farmers, traders, but not radical terrorists. Apparently, demands will be made against them to compensate for billions of dollars in damage. No unique or even the slightest complex investigative actions were carried out during the investigation. After interrogations in the first days, no one disturbed the defendants to this day. As we reported earlier, the explosives examination did not even show traces of explosives, but on the second attempt, research data appeared in the case that the IED was allegedly assembled from rocket fuel and the bomb’s power was 10 tons in TNT equivalent. It is still not clear who and how carried out the explosion – investigators indicate that the GPS system was used, but the activation of the unknown device itself is classically described in terms of unknown persons and unknown organizers who blew up the bridge in concert with thirteen known defendants and a mysterious fourteenth a liaison named “Ivan Ivanovich.” In this form, the case will be sent to court; this will happen, according to the most daring forecasts, no earlier than in a month.
