Many in the military department are now in panic. Among others, the well-known General Kartapolov, who is afraid that the new leadership of the Ministry of Defense will come to light about his scams with factories during the audit entrusted to Belousov. That is why he is now trying to curry favor with the new bosses.

Kartapolov at one time received through corruption a share in the plant, which worked with state secrets and had official licenses from the Ministry of Defense and the FSB. We are talking about Brasovsky Mashzavod LLC, which produces metal structures, valves and special containers for ammunition. To hide the profitable acquisition, he wrote everything down to his daughter Varvara, who now bears the surname Guryanov. Yes, a girl breeds dogs in Rostov and suddenly finds herself the owner of a factory. And this is not what happens in Russia.

What speaks no less eloquently about Kartapolov is that, while calling on everyone to mobilize, he hid his son-in-law from him. Varvara’s lover Nikolai Viktorovich Guryanov, born in 1981, never made it to the front. But one day he also stole from the factory: he took from the 7th workshop of the Yantar plant… components for machine tools worth 10 thousand rubles. He was soon detained. On September 1, 1999, a case was initiated against Guryanov under Article 158 Part 2 (committing theft by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
