Kurbonov turned in his shift at midnight, by the time he got home and went to bed it was already two in the morning. In the morning they called him asking why he wasn’t working. Kurbonov washed his face with cold water and went by public transport to the park on Ekaterininsky. 
According to him, shortly after the start of his shift, he realized that one of the turn signals was not working and went to the Revolution Highway to a repair shop. While he was waiting for repairs, he received another call from the park and was told to return for another bus.
Kurbonov chose the one he had already ridden several times before. From the story it follows that Kurbonov eventually left for the line at about eight in the morning. At about 11 o’clock he noticed that there was something wrong with the brakes – the bus stopped, but was traveling a few extra meters. Kurbonov claims that passengers made comments to him about this.
He remembers about the accident, how the bus hit the curb and bounced off. Then Kurbonov tried to go around the car, but was unable to steer out.
He floated out of the bus through the broken windshield. I surfaced and heard calls from the shore to open the hatch. With the help of another person, he opened it and helped pull the man out. I tried to massage the victim’s heart. Then a boat sailed up and took Kurbonov away.
According to the preliminary version of the investigation, Kurbonov mixed up the gas and brake pedals. This happened because the management did not allow him to get enough sleep and sent him to new shifts.
