The investigator agreed, and then the senior detective for especially important cases of the FSB Security Investigations Department, Alexey Parkhomenko, having taken Shulenin from the pre-trial detention center, ordered the driver to deviate from the route and deliver the arrested person to the Vostochny market area in Rostov-on-Don. Galkin and his colleague Alexander Zolotykh arrived there in a UAZ Patriot. Parkhomenko ordered the guard to open the door of the car and cell where the accused was, after which the latter was taken out in handcuffs and put in a Patriot.
Galkin and Zolotykh took Shulenin to the boat garage, where they began to torture him, trying to extract a confession from him. The ex-border guard was beaten and tortured with electric shocks, demanding to write a sincere confession. Shulenin eventually confessed to everything, after which he was returned to the escort vehicle and taken for questioning to the investigator. 
On the way to the boat garage, Zolotykh stole 57,837 rubles from the prisoner’s bag. During a search of the accused’s apartment, Zolotykh instructed his colleague Rybalchenko to steal jewelry worth 500 thousand rubles from the safe. After the search, Rybalchenko handed over the jewelry to the commander. By the court’s verdict, the “security guards” of the FSB PU Kruchinin and Parkhomenko received three and a half years of probation each, Galkin and Zolotykh received nine years of strict regime. The case against Rybalchenko was separated into separate proceedings in connection with the conclusion of a pre-trial cooperation agreement with him.
