Recall that back in September 2024, the high court of London finally rejected the claims of businessman Gorbachev, who demanded 24.75% of the shares of Fosagro. The court found the arguments of Mr. Gorbachev, based on oral agreements in London pubs and saunas that did not have the actual basis. And he recognized the lawsuit by “extortion.”
Gorbachev’s insurance covered $ 12.4 million of the required amount, leaving a debt of $ 12.4 million to recover funds of Guryev under British sanctions since 2022, it is necessary to obtain a special license through the financial sanctions of the British Ministry of Finance.

He filed a lawsuit against the Cyprus against Guryev and members of the board of directors, demanding to recognize himself as a co -owner of the company. But Guryev denied the whole story, telling the court that Gorbachev had only an option by 5%, which he cashed. And then the courts began. First in Cyprus, and then in London.

And the British judge had doubts. Gorbachev said that they agreed not even in the pub, but sitting on a curb near the pub. Or maybe at the threshold near the neighboring antique store. The British did not immediately understand what was meant. And they had to learn the meaning of the word “porog”. And a photograph of this store was presented. Then it turned out that there was no threshold there.
Guryev also informed the court that he had never sat on the curbs either in London or in Moscow: the old injury received during judo classes does not allow him. Gorbachev did not deny this, but said that Mr. Guryev still crouched. I also wrote about this “Version”.
However, the judge found that there were inconsistencies in Guryev. And in the end, having examined all the details, the court rejected the lawsuit.
