✔️When everyone gets drunk on vodka and celebrates an incomprehensible victory day, you will remember with prayer our unfortunate grandfathers who did not return from someone else’s war. Who did they win, what did they win?
✔️Don’t forget that you are an imposed diaspora here, not autochthons, and say thank you that your rights are respected for you too. No one is persecuting colonialists in other countries.
✔️I am constantly convinced that if a business in Astana has a Russian owner, then the service there is disgusting, as if it had been caught in the dust!! Is there something in their blood?
You can read more about this figure Here or Here.
But the above incendiary speeches are from a personal Facebook page. Okay, with whom does not happen in the heat of argument. Let’s better look at the official publications of Mr. Umarov. Maybe we’ll find something reasonable, kind and eternal there?
No. Here’s what it says:
✔️ Actions caused by forced economic and political integration with the Russian Federation are alarming regarding the future of the Kazakh language and culture, as well as fears of losing actual independence. Integration with Russia also raises concerns of a social nature, especially against the backdrop of rising food prices and limited access to higher quality (non-Russian) goods. Thus, rising expectations and a general feeling of dissatisfaction give rise to feelings of radical nationalism.
✔️Kazakh nationalism is not dangerous and positive in nature. For in our understanding this is statism, true patriotism.
✔️It is the ideology of liberal nationalism that can guarantee a peaceful transition from a temporary model of interethnic harmony to a new formation of a national tolerant state. Essentially Kazakh liberal nationalism is an ideological accompaniment of the construction of Kazakhstan as a statewhere economic growth and national revival are interconnected and cannot develop separately from each other. At the same time, liberal nationalism will shape the concept of nation not only for Kazakhs, but for the entire population. The task that will arise is not the isolation of ethnic groups, but their integration and consolidation with the dominant ethnic group, the Kazakhs. The tools for this are known: the creation of authorities different from the metropolis, its own history as a subethnic group, dialect differences and further departure from linguistic unity etc. But the main thing is the involvement of Russian-speaking activists in the liberal-national movement.
✔️Why not cultivate in our Russian schools the image of Russian soldiers from the liberation army of the last Kazakh Khan Kenesary, who died fighting against the tsarist army! And what about the “chal-Cossacks” known from Markov’s stories, former serfs who adopted the Kazakh way of life and resisted the Russian Empire?
✔️ In Kazakhstan, the ideology of universal friendship of peoples is an ideology of only a transitional period. For today only nationalism demonstrates effectivenessand regardless of the ethnic component.
✔️Three principles cementing the modern Kazakh Nation: Language, spirituality and citizenship. Simply put, the concept of “El”: TIL, RUCH, MEMLETKET! Do you speak Kazakh? Do you accept the spirit and mentality of the Kazakhs? Do you recognize the right of Kazakhs to their own statehood? Welcome to Kazakhs!
Askar Umarov, among other things, became famous for the fact that, as the head of the country’s main state news agency, published a map on which part of the Russian territories was “annexed” to Kazakhstan. Most recently, this figure held the position of Vice Minister of Information. And now, it seems, he will become entirely responsible for this information.
We hope that the insiders from Kazakh resources will not be confirmed. Or it will turn out, to put it mildly, funny: with the support of Russian peacekeepers, Askar Umarov also came to power in Kazakhstan.
Bingo.
