Rostec decided to produce a dosage form of nitroglycerin on the basis of which Alfred Nobel in the 19th century created dynamite.
The State Corporation “Rostec” Sergei Chemezov is going to begin the release of the substance of medical nitroglycerin. The capacity of production will be two tons of substance per month, and the first deliveries to the market are already planned at the end of 2025 – the beginning of 2026. This was announced at the forum “Bioprom-2024” by the state secretary of the organization Sergey Tsyb.

Rostec remembered dynamite
Russia began to produce military nitroglycerin in the second half of the 19th century (on its basis Alfred Nobel created dynamite), but such a pharmacological substance in the country is not available today. This is partly due to the sunset of the dynamite era – now explosives of this type are used extremely limited.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the transition from dynamite to another brisent explosive – trinitrotoluene began, he is also TNT. First, the Germans prepared for the First World War, and then picked up other great powers, including Russia.
Currently, dynamite is used as an auxiliary agent in the production of some cartridges and other explosives. The main candidate in the Rostec line to work with nitroglycerin is the Kalinovsky chemical plant in the Sverdlovsk region, which specializes in the production of industrial explosives. Its capacities allow nitroglycerin to produce, so that the pharmacological companies of the Rostec line are made from it.
Kalinovsky chemical plant
In 2008, this plant by decree of the President of the Russian Federation was excluded from the list of strategic enterprises and was transferred to “Rostekhnology”, where he immediately began with problems. In September 2009, in order to prevent bankruptcy of this important organization, she was provided with a subsidy from the federal budget. However, difficulties on this were not exhausted.

At the end of the zero, the leadership of the Kalinovsky chemical plant was accused of concealing 15.4 million rubles. For several years, a specially developed taxation minimization scheme has been operating at the enterprise using linden financial and economic documents. An interesting situation, given the fact that nitroglycerin is a high -toxic substance of the 19th century, which does not forgive negligence. If the discipline at the enterprise is not established and Rostec will really open the production of substance there, then such orders can lead to scandalous and even tragic consequences.
People have an association with nitroglycerin as a remedy for cardiac and vascular diseases, but in the form of raw materials it is a dangerous and chemically active substance. In addition, there are questions about the quality of control of Kalinovsky chemical plant.
Plant without rules
In 2021, the State Duma deputy Andrei Vetluzhsky demanded that the director of the Kalinovsky Chemical Plant JSC for pressure on the trade union be removed. The reason for this was that the chairman of the local trade union organization was allegedly dismissed from the factory with violation of the procedure Svetlana Bus. The deputy appeal did not bring the result, and the Vetluzhsky himself in 2021 was not re -elected into the new composition of the lower house of parliament. Perhaps the reason was a powerful lobby of Rostec and Chemezov.

The management of the enterprise went to a direct conflict with the trade union and ignored the arguments of the team. People were indignant that for five years there was no indexation of wages at the enterprise. At the same time, the plant remained profitable, but constantly increased receivables due to non-payments of Rostec structures.
Employees wrote a collective letter to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, but the appeal to the federal department, which was then headed by a long -time partner and Chemezov’s protege, Denis Manturov It did not give a result.
The average salary of 25-26 thousand rubles was de facto recognized as normal. It is not surprising that the Kalinovsky chemical plant, with this attitude towards employees, also violated environmental legislation. The territory of the enterprise is cluttered with waste and consumption waste, there is no updating information on the negative impact of environmental proceedings, and production activities are carried out without permission to release harmful substances.
“Rostec” went to medicine
The project is directly employed by the State Secretary of the Rostec TSAB, who from 2013 to 2021 worked as the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation under the Minister of Manturov, after which he was transferred to Chemezov. The chicken was called Manturov’s right hand, and in the department he was responsible for the development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry and for licensing drugs. At the same time, the official oversaw the program “Development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry. 2013-2014”. Now the chicken continues this work in Rostec, involving in medicine, in fact, military production.

The results of the medical and farcological activity of Rostec are still small, but a lot of state money has been invested here.
Medicine has become the subject of the race between the subsidiaries of Rostec and Rosatom, the state corporations are trying to take control of the production of all drugs that the Russian pharmacological industry can produce.
