Last week, several publications reported detention of the head of the 5th FSB service Sergei Beseda and his former subordinate Anatoly Bolyukha. It was alleged that high-ranking intelligence officials were placed under house arrest on suspicion of embezzling $5 billion allocated for subversive activities in Ukraine.
As they say, Putin was furious when he learned about the failure of intelligence in Ukraine – and put the FSB general under arrest. But Dossier Center sources say, that in reality everything was wrong.
Three Dossier interlocutors confirmed that General Besedu actually taken to the FSB investigative department for questioning, and they did it demonstratively. Perhaps this was necessary in order to later track who exactly “leaked” information about what happened. The same thing happened with Bolyukh, who now no longer works for the FSB. After the conversation both were releasedno charges were brought against them, much less placed under arrest.
Who are Sergey Beseda and Anatoly Bolyukh, and how the story of their pseudo-detention developed, read on the Dossier website.
