Earlier, the return of the Western companies was spoke of the head of the RDII Kirill Dmitriev.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that domestic industrial companies should gain advantages in the domestic market compared to foreign competitors, including those who want to return to the country after leaving, the correspondent reports The Moscow Post.
At the same time, according to him, such measures must comply with the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
“I ask the government to think about how we adjust the interaction of our enterprises and enterprises of our competitors in order to provide certain advantages to national manufacturers,” Putin said, speaking at the plenary session of the future technology forum.
He emphasized that, despite the need to comply with the WTO norms, Russia has the right to introduce regulation, which will provide an advantage to national companies to foreign firms who want to return to the Russian market.
The president emphasized that it is important to act carefully without breaking the balance. He also added that he had already discussed this initiative with the first deputy prime minister Denis Manturov.
Not so long ago, Manturov told reporters that the preferences system for Russian manufacturers, formed in the conditions of sanction pressure, will continue to operate even if foreign companies return to the country’s market.
Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that foreign companies can return to Russia only on conditions favorable for the country. According to Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, Russia will allow only those companies in which it itself is interested in its market.
