According to the results of the meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anvar Ibrahim, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the issue of launching direct air traffic is being considered between Russia and Malaysia, the correspondent reports The Moscow Post.

“The opening of a direct aviation message between our two countries is being worked out, which, of course, will contribute to the decision of business and humanitarian contacts,” the president said.

The visit of the head of the Malaysian government to Russia will last from May 14 to 16.

According to the press service of the Prime Minister, as part of the trip, Anvar Ibrahim will meet with representatives of Russian business and compatriots living in Russia. His program also has a performance in MGIMO and a visit to Kazan, where he will take part in the forum “Russia – Islamic world: KazanForum”.

In Tatarstan, Prime Minister Malaysia has a separate meeting with the head of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov.

We will remind, earlier the Malaysian authorities announced the readiness to build a “special format of relations” with Russia, focusing on the deepening of economic and humanitarian cooperation.
