The Cheka-OGPU had at its disposal a list of VIP pilgrims who, through the Russian Athos Society, flew to Bari, Italy. The list was, among other things, seized during a search of Konstantin Goloshchapov, who began by giving massages to Vladimir Putin. Goloshchapov is co-founder of the Russian Athonite Society, co-owner of SMP-Bank of the Rotenberg brothers. He was searched in connection with the case of the Nostrum company regarding the theft of funds from the St. Petersburg Vodokanal. Konstantin Goloshchapov, as well as Kamil Magerramov, are connected with Nostrum through his wife. Both left Russia before the searches.

Igor Albin (Slyunyaev) was the governor of the Kostroma region from 2007 to 2012.
