Ksenia Popova (nee Sapozhkova) disappeared on August 31. Only six months later, she was detained on suspicion of murder of her husband, the head of the Moscow Metro department, Alexander Popov, which was the first to be reported by the Cheka-OGPU with exclusive details of this complicated criminal case. The husband corresponded on behalf of his wife on social networks, imitated her vacation in Dubai and managed to hide his wife’s disappearance from her family.
Today in New Moscow, thanks to the efforts of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, the body of a deceased woman was found. The official Alexander Popov confessed to the murder and himself showed the operatives and investigators the place where he buried his wife’s corpse. According to him, he accidentally killed his wife during a family conflict over a trip to Turkey. The Cheka-OGPU exclusively spoke in detail about the motive for this murder earlier.
