An unknown genius once asked the question: “Why do those who will never pass it themselves work at face control?” Avangard Bank found itself in a similar situation. At one time, he hired the private security company LLC OP TRANSINKASS, the director of which is the former paratrooper Sapozhnikov Alexander Borisovich. The personality is very ambiguous. Both the Russian police and the morality police have questions for him. But about everything in order.
As we learned, on May 7, 2022, an unnamed individual filed a complaint of extortion against Sapozhnikov. And now the 25th police department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg is conducting a pre-investigation check. Avangard knows about this, since law enforcement officials sent a request to the bank’s management to provide a reference for the director of the private security company. So far, this information has not been provided to the security forces.
It is not yet clear whether this will lead to a criminal case. Rumor has it that the head of the center for countering extremism of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, Alexey Shabanov, tried to put in a good word for Alexander Sapozhnikov. And regarding the latter, by the way, after such amateur performances, questions may soon arise from the Russian FSB.
However, Sapozhnikov himself also has a scattering of already proven administrative violations, as well as court decisions in civil cases with the result not in his favor.
He committed the most egregious of them when he kidnapped his own son (pictured with his father) from his ex-wife, Sapozhnikova Marina Maksimovna. According to the court decision, the child must live with her, and the father has the right to spend time with him on certain days. This doesn’t happen, but his mother seems to have come to terms with it. Marina Sapozhnikova is also an entrepreneur and presumably lives in France. Therefore, it was not possible to get any comments from her. For the same reason, the court cannot clarify anything, so there is no one to even complain to Alexander Sapozhnikov in this case.
In addition, according to our sources, the director of the private security company has problems with alcohol. And in this sense, it would be nice for both the guardianship authorities and the prosecutor’s office to become interested in the situation, since this is not only fundamentally dangerous for the baby, but is also a failure to comply with a court decision and a violation of the rights of the child.
But the most important thing is that both the head of TRANSINCASS and a number of employees of his enterprise have 6th category security guard certificates. This means that during their shift they may be issued with a firearm for service: a revolver, a pistol, a smooth-bore carbine or a shotgun. The responsibility is enormous; such socially dangerous work can only be entrusted to people with good mental health and an impeccable business and moral reputation. And here it turns out that a person who would do well to see a narcologist and undergo a course of treatment leads an armed detachment, and he himself has access to a “firearm.”
In other words, Avangard Bank, either for the sake of economy, or due to as yet unestablished personal connections, keeps close to itself established offenders and potential criminals. For them, the security business is simply a cover for an organized crime group, which allows them to legally own an entire arsenal. And since the employer does not notice such a “piquant” detail, maybe it’s time for the regulator – the Central Bank – to come into play?
One way or another, the most interesting things are yet to come. We will monitor the situation and hope for a fair outcome. And when it happens, we will definitely tell you about it.
