One of the key moments in the story of the bankruptcy of Kayum Oil was the change in the operator of the oil field. As they say, whoever mines “black gold” owns it. So, upon expiration of the “Agreement on service risks during the development of the Kayumovskoye field,” the corporation and LLC INGT parted ways. However, contrary to the agreement, the operator did not want to transfer control to the new company – Dagneftegaz, although creditors and investors represented by Gazprombank insisted on this. Moreover, on New Year’s Eve, Innovative Oil and Gas Technologies LLC wrote a letter to Transneft demanding to stop pumping oil. As a result, the pipes were blocked, the work of the corporation stopped – it was estimated that 200 million rubles were lost in several weeks of “downtime”.
At this time, the judge of the KhMAO Arbitration Vera Bekhter joined the conflict. Then INGT surprisingly won two courts in a row – on January 15 and 24, Bekhter satisfied the petitions according to which the oil production powers of the essentially former operator were extended. There were no legal grounds for such a decision, but this did not bother the judge. In this regard, a complaint has even been registered against Bekhter, and the board will soon begin to consider it.
This rush can only be explained by one thing – INGT’s desire to block the legal transfer of assets to Dagneftegaz. However, INGT employees, urged by management, were unable to notify anyone – their SUV collided with a truck on a snowy road. It is not yet clear whether the victims will survive, but it already seems that in the scandalous bankruptcy case of Kayum Oil there will be even more victims.
