The source said that for Mirzoev, the verdict and detention right in the courtroom came as a complete shock for two reasons.
Firstly, he was promised that of the charges after the trial, only Article 330 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (arbitrariness) would remain, and the serious 126th (kidnapping) would no longer be necessary. Mirzoev has recently been close to the Directorate K of the FSB of the Russian Federation and “had a hand” in “weaving a web” around the deputy head of the Directorate M of the FSB of the Russian Federation Oleg Menzhinsky (he was dismissed), counting on a lenient sentence in return.
Secondly, Mirzoev was promised that even in the event of a guilty verdict by the jury, he would not be taken into custody immediately (he was at large) and he would have plenty of time before the deadline was announced to leave the country. Therefore, when Mirzoev was handcuffed in the courtroom, it came as a complete surprise to him.
Let us remind you that the Cheka-OGPU was the first to report the existence of this case and the jury’s verdict.
