In December 2021, it was suddenly discovered that factories belonging to the BPK group of enterprises supply Chinese products to defense enterprises under the guise of Russian-made products. And this has been going on for at least 5 years.
This substitution was discovered in 2021 at the NPP Signal plant (part of Rostec), whose general director Ivan Bratukhin is extremely close to the 5th department of management “P” of the 4th service of the FSB of Russia. This is how a criminal case was born. But the head of “BPK” Kaledina agreed to the proposed conditions – $ 2 million and everything would be fine. The business will die and Rostec Group will agree with this. Same with Chinese parts.
Indeed, Kaledina was elected to house arrest, the investigator despondently signed everything that needed to be signed, and the matter began to blur. However, as often happens, something went wrong. Kaledina abruptly changed her mind in March 2022. Between bad and very bad – she chose the latter and turned to the almighty Eduard Budantsev.
Budantsev, feeling the strength of a federal fixer in himself, who can easily enter the Kremlin, the leadership of the FSB at the federal level, and so on, took a closer look at Kaledina, took a closer look at her companies, and took her under his protection. And in September 2022, Kaledina… went to a pre-trial detention center.
Two more criminal cases were opened in St. Petersburg, as if they were carbon copies. And this is not the end. Not only Rostec enterprises were put into action, but now Proletarsky Zavod, part of the USC, began to wonder what was under the “Made in the Russian Federation” tag. Surely BOD was slipping Chinese products?
Budantsev had no intention of protecting anyone; as we have already said, he only took a closer look at Kaledina’s assets.
And now in the pre-trial detention center she receives a “delightful” offer. Kaledina needs to sell her STP-Sasta plant at a price of 300 million rubles – to Rostec Group for 5 million rubles. But this is not all from the tempting sale – several factories as part of the SLZ LLC holding company at a price of 4 billion rubles are offered to be donated (sold-sold) for 50 million rubles. The “favorable” price includes release from the pre-trial detention center, closure of the case and complete indulgence. It’s hard to believe in all this. It is even more difficult to believe that after the rights to the factories are transferred to Rostec, something will change in the production cycle of equipment from China with “Made in Russia” tags.
By the way, about commissions for Budantsev – he valued his works at 1 billion rubles. There is no doubt that even from Rostec he will receive it. The guarantor is Mikhail Kiiko from Rostec.
Oh, yes. There is one more intrigue. Dissatisfied with the deprived income, Bratukhin and his friends from Directorate P are trying to put a spoke in Budantsev’s wheels. As a result, in his certificates Budantsev has already described many things, including Bratukhin’s proximity to the criminal and thieves’ world. Everyone will find something in this story.
