In the courts of the Right -Bank and Left -Bank court regions of Lipetsk, cases of administrative offenses against the former senator from the executive branch of the region Oleg Korolev were received. The former member of the Federation Council is charged with the abandonment of the place of traffic accident, the participant of which he was (part 2 of article 12.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The sanction of the article provides for the deprivation of a driver’s license for up to one and a half years or administrative arrest for 15 days.

So, two materials were received to the court plot No. 13 of the Right -Bank district, and one to the station No. 2 of the Left -Bank district. Their consideration is scheduled for July 9 and 15. In the apparatuses of the justice of the peace, who are transferred to consideration, the essence of the offenses liable to the ex-Senator is not commented.

The case was based on the resonant story that occurred with the senator on May 13. Then Mr. Korolev driving Lexus several times violated the rules of the road in Lipetsk and collided with another car. The maneuvers came to the photo and video, and the media who distributed them suspected Mr. Korolev in drunken driving. He himself explained his behavior with a deterioration in well-being due to atrial fibrillation. The day after the accident, Governor Igor Artamonov appealed to the Federation Council with a request to allow Oleg Korolev to bring to administrative responsibility. According to him, the police began an audit, the materials of which were sent to the regional and general prosecutor’s office.
