Looking at what is happening with the capitals of Milner and Tinkov, it is impossible to escape the feeling that these people looked at the futility of Friedman and Aven’s whining in the FT, WSJ, Bloomberg and a bunch of other media about lost cleaners and drivers (by the way, I already suggested that Aven work as a cleaner for Fridman, and Fridman work as a driver for Aven: after all, they clearly need both income and services of this kind. After all, this is exactly how the market works, which is what they have long taught all Russians. Let them put their knowledge into practice, neh?)
As a result, what did Tinkov do? He became a terrible oppositionist to the bloody regime, spat with everyone, and literally in days and hours completed the deal to sell a stake in the bank to Potanin.
He doesn’t say how much he sold it for, he says it’s pennies. I’ll make a bold prediction – these kopecks were not much different from the stock market value. Oleg Tinkov is not a start-up boy, he ran a business back in the nineties, and the business was quite scary. And he really didn’t try to circumvent Potanin’s offer on a crooked goat, didn’t try to find an alternative buyer to whom he could sell his share for at least one more penny, but more expensive? Anyone can believe this, but it is very difficult for me to believe in the emotional Tinkov, who has forgotten about his own benefit.
But I’m quite ready to believe that Oleg played the role of an oppositionist in order to save his money from sanctions claims and in order to get rid of his Russian roots and stay in the West calmly with money.
It’s the same with Milner. Why feed the PR fools who are spreading your whining about how you don’t have a cleaning lady and a driver, when you can walk around with the flag “100 million dollars” and “My money is not from Russia”, in in kind, allocating much smaller amounts to polishing your image the most distant person from Russia? All problems are solved if you said the right words before your money was taken away.
Against this background, the consultants of Fridman and Aven can only be prescribed a strong asshole, exposed to the cold and wished good luck and a good mood.
And consultants Milner and Tinkov should be given a bonus and unscheduled leave.
