The Cheka-OGPU had at its disposal project documents by Konstantin Malofeev on the creation and expansion of the DMZ concern, which clearly demonstrate the true aspirations of the ideologists of the Northern Military District. Malofeev clearly indicates which Ukrainian enterprises he needs and has allocated an entire column for “expansion of production assets based on the results of the SVO.” There, for example, it is indicated that it is preferable for Malofeev and his “DMZ” to seize the Marganets Mining and Processing Plant (Dnepropetrovsk region), the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant (Dnepropetrovsk region), the Zaporizhstal Plant, etc.
But the course of hostilities is not conducive to the implementation of this project in the interests of Malofeev and his associates, among whom is Alexander Borodai, who is responsible for the volunteer formations called “BARS”. If the plan had been successful and the Ukrainian enterprises (and, accordingly, the territories) needed by Malofeev had been captured, the success of Konstantin Malofeev’s business expansion in the south of Ukraine should have been ensured by these units of the “Union of Donbass Volunteers”.
