The Federal Tax Service suspended operations on the accounts of the Lenfilm film studio. Why?

The general director changed – Eduard Suvorov became him – there are current decisions to suspend the operation of banking accounts: in early August, the Federal Tax Service made 6 decisions. These decisions are sent to VTB, JSC Raiffeisenbank, JSC Bank of the SGB, St. Petersburg, FC Opening and JSC Solid Bank.
But the allegedly the reason why the Federal Tax Service made decisions on the suspension of operations on accounts is unknown, although the documents have a note: “To ensure the execution of the decision to recover tax, collecting, penalties and (or) fine.”
Recall that, unlike the brother – the Mosfilm film studio Stormit Lenfilm, not the first day since the film studio began to squandering its “gold collection”. And some companies that are enriched while Lenfilm “drowns”.
Twin, but not a peak
It turns out the following: the Lenfilm film studio, which announced that she was about to leave the loss of 2023, now demonstrates suspended account operations.

In 2023, the result of the work of the film studio was a loss of 111.3 million rubles with revenue in the amount of 184.1 million rubles. It is interesting that with such figures, management expenses were more than in 2022, and amounted to 134.2 million rubles.
Even earlier, RBC reported that the rights to the classics of Soviet cinema were left with the quick private traders, and the Lenfilm film studio in the end cannot pay debts.
In this regard, the company Twin SP LLC is called: CEO and founder someone Elena Shishko, revenue for 2023 – 205 million rubles.

We also add that the new director of the Lenfilm film studio is not new at all, given that under the “old” director, Mr. Suvorov worked as his assistant.
And the costumes eaten by moth
The employees of the Lenfilm film studio themselves have long complained of a difficult situation: the studio has already lost half of the production space in the city center, which were sold at a time at the same time!
From the past “Lenfilm” – as journalists wrote – there remained half -torn furniture and a dressing room eaten by moth.

And despite the loan of 1.3 billion rubles “for modernization”, the position of the film studio has not improved. Applications of the relevant departments have not yet given any results.
But where is the money allocated for this modernization? Studio staff wrote a request to the prosecutor’s office. There is no answer.
Then they wrote to the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova with a request to clarify whether Lenfilm’s bankruptcy will not turn him into an entertainment center. There is no answer either.

It also became known that RTI LLC issued permission to build a plot of land on Tambasov Street, which was previously occupied by Lenfilm studio: they will be erected by an apartment building. This was reported RBC
Earlier, in the quarter, which will go under the development, there was a branch of the Lenfilm film studio – a pine glade.
In recent years, Lenfilm was not interested in preserving this territory, since the studio has encountered financial difficulties. And in the fall of 2021, 10 hectares were sold to the holding of the RTI for 1.5 billion rubles.
But Lenfilm’s employees again write to the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation with a request to intervene in the situation: over the past 10 years, three leaders have already changed at the Lenfilm film studio.
The new director of the studio Eduard Suvorov is a film producer, the 2000s worked in the State Duma, in the culture committee, after which he was found in the structures of the Basic Element company. In 2013–2016 He headed the board of directors of Media Holding OJSC.

In recent years, he worked as an executive director in the Fund for the development of contact types of sports martial arts of the Krasnodar Territory Oleg Deripaska, oversaw the media structures included in the holding “Basic Element.”
The candidacy of Mr. Suvorov, Fedor Bondarchuk lobbied for the post of head of the Lenfilm studio.
An interesting trial
But the company Twin-SP LLC is constantly popping up in the activities of the Lenfilm film studio.
Not so long ago, the tenth arbitration court decided to refuse the lawsuit of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation against the Licensee of the Lenfilm film studio – Twin -SP LLC.

The plaintiff demanded that the licensed agreement be declared invalid and tried to return 69.8 million rubles to the State Film Fund for the rental of Soviet, gold classics of the film studio.
As follows from the case file, on 04/01/2009 the Lenfilm film studio (licensor, lawyer of the Russian State Film Fund) and Twin SP LLC (Licensee) entered into a licensed agreement No. 7/1-P-09 for the use of films.
It follows from the text of the statement of claim that as a result of measures for the reorganization of federal state film studios since 2013, FSUE Filmic Film Film Film Lenfilm is the State Film Fund of Russia. And the validity of the license agreement and, accordingly, the licensed terms of the licenses received are extended by the parties on 12.31, 2030, inclusive.

The lawsuit stated: during the audit, it was established that Twin SP LLC in 2018 from the exercise of rights to the work received income -179 million rubles, in 2019 – 72 million rubles. Thus, as a result of the defendants concluding an additional agreement, the Russian Federation represented by a budget institution from 2018 to 2019. lost her profit.
But what was the court decision? Since the licensed agreement and an additional agreement to it are not invalidated, there are no grounds for applying the consequences of the invalidity of transactions in the form of the obligation of Twin SP LLC to return the Russian State Film Fund under a license agreement of 01.04.2009 No. 7/1-P-09 and an additional agreement for it-69.8 million rubles.
And therefore – the Lenfilm film studio sags further, and the firms that are “near” receive a good “navar” …
The way out of the current difficult situation may be the return of the Lenfilm of the status of the state studio.
But is it possible?
