There is no strength to wait for the weather by the sea
In the Irkutsk region, emergency power outages are occurring more and more often, which naturally causes concern among residents of the region. The governor and the regional leadership remain silent and take no action. People are desperate, and the situation is already becoming critical. The “dark” people were created by illegal miners.
The activities of crypto miners create a colossal load on power grids—hence rolling blackouts, damage to home electrical equipment, and fires. And for those who live in their own home (there are a lot of such people in the Irkutsk region), problems with the electrical network also threaten a lack of heat. This prospect will please few people, especially in winter.
There is no point in waiting for action from Governor Igor Kobzev, Irkutsk activists together with Baikal University professor Larisa Sokolova ask Vladimir Putin to introduce diphtariffs. By the way, differentiated tariffs are also beneficial for the region – they will replenish the budget of the Angara region with taxes, and will give power engineers the opportunity to modernize outdated infrastructure.
The initiative group collected 2,000 signatures for the introduction of diftariffs. Residents of the Angara region hope that the problem will finally be addressed at a different level.
Irkutsk residents turned to Putin with a request to introduce differential tariffs for miners
A letter sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin by a professor at Baikal State University, which was registered in the reception office of the head of state, talks about the critical situation with illegal mining in the Irkutsk region.
