On October 31, in the Bayandaevsky district, employees of the Pribaikalproekt Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg” were detained, who, under the pretext of protecting the forest, were engaged in poaching bears and cubs. They were caught red-handed when they shot a sleeping mother bear with three cubs right in her den. The photo and video archive of the poachers’ “trophies” was impressive. A criminal case was opened.
However, unexpectedly, some unprecedented force began to openly block any attempts to conduct a normal investigation. Moreover, following a call from Moscow, the case was taken away from the police who opened it, transferred to the top and…CLOSED.
The reason for this turned out to be hidden in the poachers’ mobile phones. From their correspondence, which is at the disposal of the Cheka-OGPU, it follows that the poaching of bears and other animals was a business for them. Moreover, they usually worked on orders coming from Moscow. They sent the meat of bears, deer, and roe deer for money on special planes to the capital for a number of cool restaurants. And then the most interesting part.
It turned out that we are talking about restaurants from the empire of the Araz and Emin Agalarov family, in particular the Lesnoy restaurant, which Emin Agalarov owns together with Grigory Leps. The menu of this establishment has a lot of venison, which was also supplied by poachers, but there is no bear meat. However, on the Lesnoy website it is said that chef Rustam Tangirov prepares bear dishes on special order for special gourmets.
During the search, poacher Nikiforov’s phone was found to contain correspondence directly with the Lesnaya restaurant and Ekaterina Chernykh, who is the general director of NIME – 3 LLC, Crocus Event, the sole founder of which is Emin Agalarov. The poachers negotiated with the Chernys to supply bear meat and venison on a special plane.
Also mentioned in the chat was Rustam – the chef of Lesnoy, Rustam Tangirov.
An “internal investigation” conducted by Pribaikalproekt showed that the poachers were not poachers at all, but “random victims” who simply found dead bears and decided to throw them away. To do this, they loaded them into a UAZ and went to the base to drink tea. And then they were detained by police officers.
Everyone involved was simply fired and that was all. The case is closed, the poachers are officially out of work, VIP clients of the Agalarov and Leps restaurants enjoyed seasonal bear meat from chef Rustam Tangirov. End of story. But what about photos, videos and correspondence? Who will replenish the fauna of the Irkutsk forest and stop the poaching scheme? As a human being, aren’t Emin Agalarov and Grigory Leps ashamed?
