The secret empire of St. Petersburg businessman Anton Bazhanov became known back in 2018. Then the capital’s central administration stated on suppressing the activities of an entire organized crime group. Dozens of illegal clubs and secret casinos under the guise of bookmakers in Moscow, Kazakhstan and Belarus were exposed. All the media discussed that a certain Panorama LLC was passing up to half a billion rubles a month through its accounts. And this does not take into account bonuses for top managers.
It was not only a clear system of kickbacks and a corruption bubble that allowed law enforcement to remain undetected. Among the owners of the gaming empire, rules of strict secrecy were in effect, their own counterintelligence service operated, the same Bazhanov communicated with those close to him only via satellite communications, only a few people knew him by sight, and ordinary employees did not know his name, but called him the First.
Even after an unprecedented special operation, the detention of Bazhanov, large-scale searches and raids in several countries at once, the criminal community did not collapse, and the illegal casinos were simply moved to other addresses. In Moscow they didn’t bother at all: the most famous underground club continues to operate under the guise of “ROYAL ARBAT”» in the city center.
It is significant that all participants in the criminal case, including Anton Bazhanov, released from under arrest, supposedly, none of them will be able to put pressure on the investigation. The leader of the organized crime group was asked to urgently leave the pre-trial detention center because he was accidentally diagnosed with cancer. Of course, Bazhanov did not and does not have any illness.
Anton Bazhanov owes his miraculous rescue and healing to his partners: Radik Yusupov (Dragon) and Mikhail Shamis. Dragon is the leader of the Sevastopol organized crime group, a criminal authority known for his cruelty and unscrupulousness. In the media describe him as a bloodthirsty killer with 20 proven murders. Although in fact there are rumors about at least 300 victims of Yusupov’s organized crime group. At the same time, this man is now free, he can often be found in expensive restaurants in the company of his friend, singer Leps.
