The street festivities season traditionally starts on the eve of Easter and Victory Day. Spring is celebrated with the Moscow Seasons festivals. All of them are in one way or another connected with the head of the Moscow Department of Trade and Services, Alexei Nemeryuk. How does it work, everything is already heard: what is the value of Nemeryuk’s profitable tandem with “the robot Werther” from the film “Guest from the Future” – formerly a Soviet actor, and later a Moscow City Duma deputy, Evgeniy Gerasimov. For several years, the company of his daughter Olga Gerasimova became the only participant and winner of tenders for holding festivals, and when the portfolio of government orders exceeded 1 billion rubles, LLC liquidated. Other shell companies have taken its place (when there is a lot – less noticeable) and now they are being pumped with budget money, withdrawing funds into the pockets of DTIU.

Since 2016, the distribution of finances has been handled by the organization of the State Budgetary Institution “Moscow Fairs” controlled by Nemeryuk. Tenders are held through it and contractors are coordinated. And also in possession “Moscow Fairs” – more than 50 objects in Moscow – are markets and places of spontaneous trade, where money is then laundered – you can’t think of better financial laundries. A scheme for making money at so-called “Weekend Fairs” has also been established. Representatives of the State Budgetary Institution sell “entrance tickets” to traders and farmers, and then also take interest from them – they add up to double the cost. The serviceability of the circuit is supervised by the director of Moscow Fairs, Alexander Likhanov, who recently set the task of increasing sales of “subscriptions” to markets.

The fact that the business of Nemeryuk and his team was built illegally has been proven by numerous journalistic reports. investigations. Shady funds are legalized through sellers, some of them go to bribes to corrupt security forces and criminals. At the same time, Nemeryuk also raises the “official salary” of his defenders: in March, the State Budgetary Institution “Moscow Fairs” controlled by him announced tenderaccording to which the city must pay 2 billion rubles to private security companies for the protection of fairs. Everyone understands that this is a price to pay for the peace and safety of the official.

And yet, a successful jackpot can only be hit at large-scale events. The Flower Jam, Moscow Spring, and City Day festivals are coming up. This year, according to tradition, even more budget money has been allocated for holding fairs. And this means Nemeryuk and his team again have a reason spend conditional 100 million rubles for jam. All this is truly a sweet life, which many people dream of, but only the head of DTIU allows himself.
