As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the military investigative department of the Investigative Committee opened a case against an unidentified person on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “a”, “b”, “e” part 2. Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two or more persons, committed in connection with the latter’s performance of official activities in a generally dangerous manner). Two victims were recognized as victims: Apty Alaudinov and his adjutant, Lieutenant Dzhambulat Mizaev.
The initiation of the case was preceded by Shapiro’s appeal to the chief military prosecutor Valery Petrov, who seized the inspection materials from the inquiry department of the military unit and transferred them to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced the attempt on the life of the major general. According to the case materials, on February 8, Alaudinov received a letter by courier mail, which he opened together with his adjutant. Despite the fact that the general and his assistant washed their faces and hands with soap, they soon both felt signs of poisoning and sought help from the medical battalion, where they received help. Subsequently, both were treated in Moscow and have already been discharged from the hospital.
