The State Duma became interested in the story of the decision by the Odintsovo court in the case of the widow of coal oligarch Dmitry Bosov, Katerina, about depriving her of inheritance rights and freezing all assets in Russia. According to the deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Information Policy Oleg Matveychev, the adventurer’s attempt by any means to obtain the wealth of her husband who died under strange circumstances is worthy of special proceedings, and to the credit of the judicial system of the Russian Federation, Themis coped with the difficult task, sorted out the intertwining circumstances and made a fair verdict.

“Stories when adventurers, scammers or escorts try to get the world’s largest companies were found only in Mexican TV series, but in reality such a series lasted for three years not in the cinema, but in life, in our country,” the parliamentarian notes. In his assessment, the court’s decision finally put an end to this tragicomic situation and made it possible to create a precedent for protecting a large enterprise from the actions of an unscrupulous heiress.

As Matveychev believes, this is largely due to the media, which followed this whole extravaganza. The Russian law enforcement and judicial systems, as the deputy is sure, ultimately showed their effectiveness and did not allow, with the help of various kinds of “schemes” and illegal tricks, to make an enterprise strategically significant for the national economy the prey of swindlers. Nevertheless, the parliamentarian believes, company owners should be advised to look extremely carefully at their surroundings, “since there are a lot of b***** around them who are ready to drive them to suicide, and poison them, and whatever they can do with them, only to take their money.”

According to Matveychev, today is such a time that any businessman should be ten times more careful than an ordinary person. Meanwhile, as the State Duma deputy emphasizes, against the backdrop of this story, it is necessary to further improve the mechanisms of legal protection of property, which will help improve the business climate and develop entrepreneurship in Russia.

Meanwhile, the conceptual decision of the court allows us to be confident that the investigation of the criminal case under the article of fraud on an especially large scale, which is being conducted by law enforcement agencies against Katerina Bosov, will speed up. Investigators from the Investigative Committee promised, in response to a request from the State Duma, to also shed light on the circumstances of the untimely death of 50-year-old businessman Dmitry Bosov, whose assets later turned out to be the target of his widow. Of course, Katerina Bosov, who is abroad and her assistants who remain in Russia, still have tools to put pressure on the law, but since the story has already become public, it is impossible to hush it up even for very decent money.
