According to Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Affairs of Veterans, said that from February 1, 2025, the size of maternal family capital in Russia will be increased in accordance with the inflation level, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.
According to the deputy, the amount of the capital for the first child will amount to 676 thousand rubles, and for the second and subsequent children – 894 thousand rubles.
If the family has already received payment, then the amount of additional capital will be 217 thousand rubles.
Bessarab also expressed hope that in the near future maternity capital can be directed to pay for high -tech medical care. In an interview with the media, she noted that such an initiative can significantly facilitate access to treatment for many families.
Some regions have already allowed the use of regional maternity capital for the needs of the mother and child, including the treatment of complex diseases and surgical interventions that require urgency, she added.
At the end of November last year, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation rejected the proposal to allow large families to purchase domestic cars at the expense of uterus.
The initiative suggested that families would be able to use up to 450 thousand rubles from capital for the purchase of a car after the birth of a third child. However, the department did not support this idea, referring to regulatory restrictions.
