The average minimum increase in the pension of Russian pensioners after indexation should amount to 1300 rubles.

Today, at the meeting, the State Duma deputies adopted in the first reading a bill on the resumption of the suspended pensioners to be suspended since 2016, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.

The draft law was adopted unanimously – 411 deputies supported him, and there were no abstracts.

The speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said that the document will be considered in the second and third readings at the next meeting on June 26.

The decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to raise pensions to working pensioners contributes to the growth of labor productivity and will help return experienced specialists to the economy, said Volodin.

Note that indexation will affect 7.87 million people.

The head of the relevant committee on labor, social policy and the affairs of veterans, Yaroslav Nilov, said that according to him, already tomorrow – June 26 – the second and, presumably, the third reading will be held.

The Duma said that the amendments would be made to the law “On Insurance Pensions”.

Another most important change is the fact that since 2025, indexing pensions will be carried out twice a year. From February 1 – to the inflation rate of the previous year, from April 1 – to the level of growth of wages.
