The source said that in the near future the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption (UEBiPK) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region faces a new inspection. The last one, in December 2021, ended with massive penalties and the dismissal of the head of the UBEP Ulyanov. However, the UEBiPK is treating the new inspection extremely calmly, since it does not threaten serious troubles. The inspection should show to what extent the violations found during the previous inspection have been corrected. First of all, what is the situation with requests to commercial structures. It was precisely for the huge number of requests to commercial structures that the former head of the Economic Security and Inspectorate of St. Petersburg, Ulyanov, was fired.

The new head of the UBEP Mikhail Lobanov, who previously held a similar position in Moscow, is also not afraid of inspection.
