On December 26, at 2:50, an unidentified aircraft munition (previously a Storm Shadow missile) arrived across the territory of the Feodosia sea trade port, hitting the bow of the large landing ship “Novocherkassk” project 775, moored in the area of ​​berth No. 5. (crew 91 people, 77 people on duty), 12 people were supposed to be on guard.

At 3:30, the operational headquarters received information about new explosions – the Novocherkassk ammunition had detonated. A state of emergency was declared in the area – Emergencies Ministry robots began extinguishing the fire, trying to limit the spread of the fire. A floating workshop moored near the Novocherkassk was damaged.

At the same time, an evacuation was carried out from the high-rise buildings located nearby – 106 residents, including 25 children, were evacuated.

After the incident, sources from the Cheka-OGPU cautiously said that immediately after the strike on the ship, the fate of 57 crew members was in question.

According to the latest scattered reports from doctors and rescuers, only three wounded servicemen were rescued from the landing craft. Further, civil services stopped receiving information about casualties in the ranks of the Armed Forces – the data was classified and began to be transmitted via closed communications to the Navy headquarters.

According to ASTRA, 33 military personnel are missing and 19 are wounded.

At the same time, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported 5 casualties – 65-year-old civilian naval port security officer Nadezhda Tolchina died on the spot, one person had to be hospitalized, and three more decided to undergo outpatient treatment. Recorded injuries include cuts and abrasions from glass broken by the shock wave. In just one day, the inspection found damage in 26 apartment buildings.
