The scandalous widow of entrepreneur and coal miner Dmitry Bosov, Katerina, who is hiding from Russian law enforcement agencies abroad, has become a defendant in a new criminal case of fraud.
The case against Katerina Bosov under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale) was opened by the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Odintsovo city district of the Moscow region in May 2023. Currently, it is being investigated by the Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region.
According to the investigation, Katerina Bosov, being the wife of Dmitry Bosov and knowingly knowing that the money in the amount of 1,000,000 euros in her bank account at Rosbank PJSC at the time of her husband’s death was the joint property of the spouses, deliberately hid them from Bosov’s other heirs and notary conducting inheritance business.
According to the law, half of these funds should have gone to the estate and were subject to division among all heirs. However, according to investigators, due to the deliberate actions of the young woman, 500,000 euros were not included in the inherited property of Dmitry Bosov and did not go to his heirs.
Subsequently, as the investigation believes, Katerina Bosov disposed of this money at her own discretion, that is, in fact, in legal terms, she committed theft by deception, and caused Dmitry Bosov’s seven heirs – his parents and children – material damage on an especially large scale. Such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to ten years.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported that other criminal cases had been initiated against Katerina Bosov – both for fraud and under the article of driving a spouse to suicide. In addition, Katerina Bosov was recognized by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation as a foreign agent.
