At the same time, EMERCOM employees report from the field that they are sent to extinguish fires with old equipment or without equipment at all, the work of firefighting aviation seems uncoordinated, and there are not enough aircraft. Well, the equipment that Sobyanin brought to the fires and which is led by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Viktor Yatsutsenko simply burns out on the spot, because is not adapted to such conditions and is managed by non-specialists, ordinary migrants.
At the same time, all the bosses involved in extinguishing fires try to submit bravura reports to the top – about the number of equipment involved, about the fires extinguished, about the timing of extinguishing. But the reports are not true. And not only in the Ryazan region, but globally, throughout Russia.
For example, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Alexander Kozlov, recently reported to the president that there were fewer fires this year – and took credit for this. But as colleagues calculated, if we exclude fires in the Far Eastern Federal District from the statistics (read Yakutia, which was lucky with the weather), then the area of forest fires in the country increased 1.5 times – from 760 thousand hectares to 1.05 million hectares. And this is despite the negative experience gained last year. It’s time to think about who the real saboteurs are here.
