The German magazine Der Spiegel said that last month the Russian diplomat was found dead after falling from one of the upper floors of the Russian Embassy in Berlin. The lifeless body of the diplomat was discovered at about 7:20 in the morning of October 19, 2021 by the police, guarding the territory of the embassy.
It is unclear whether the fall of death was the cause of death or the person died before the fall. Arriving at the scene of the Salvation Service could not reanimate the diplomat. Due to the diplomatic status of this person, neither investigation nor autopsy was impossible, and the Russian embassy repatriated the body.
The Russian embassy announced Der Spiegel that the case was tragic, and refused further comments on ethical reasons.
Sources in German intelligence told Der Spiegel that they suspect that the diplomat who worked as a second secretary at the embassy was actually a secret FSB officer and was associated with a senior FSB general.
Bellingcat found out that the diplomat was the son of the Deputy Director of the Second Service of the FSB and the head of the FSB department for the protection of the constitutional system of General Alexei S.
