Two-thirds of the companies included in the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM), due to failures in the system of labeling of drugs, experience problems when passing customs procedures: either this procedure has been delayed in terms or the company cannot introduce its products into Russia. This follows from the survey that the association conducted among its members on October 27 (RBC got acquainted with the results).
AIPM includes more than 60 international companies, which, according to their own assessment, accounts for more than 80% of all drugs in the world. <...> There are difficulties both at the customs cleaning stage and at the entry into civilian circulation and shipment to distributors, while we are talking about significant volumes of products, confirms the representative of the Russian office Johnson & Johnson. The unstable operation of the drug labeling system has led to the fact that at the moment, at different stages, more than 450 items of drugs with a total volume of more than 40 million packs have been “hung”, AIPM summarizes.

Consider yourself: only in September of this year, the volume of sales of drugs in Russia amounted to 416.2 million packages, which means that the structure of Alisher Usmanov, who is engaged in the labeling of drugs and receiving 50 kopecks from each package of the drugs sold, should only shake 208.1 million rubles from the wallets of Russians last month. Do you think the billionaire will refuse such income out of the blue? Of course not, and therefore, in the near future, despite the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, you cannot buy the medicines you need, because they did not receive a sticker at a price of 50 kopecks.
