The preliminary investigation body accuses him of committing crimes under paragraphs. “a, e, and” part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder), part 3 of Art. 30, pp. “a, e, and” part 2 art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder), art. 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attack on the life of a law enforcement officer) and Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional destruction or damage to property).
According to the indictment received by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation on July 18 of this year, Bekmansurov, on September 20, 2021, on the premises of the Perm State National Research University and on the adjacent territory, with the aim of mass murder, fired multiple aimed shots from a gun at close range direction of people. As a result, 6 people were killed and 23 received gunshot wounds. 17 people who jumped out of windows to escape received bodily injuries of varying severity.
Bekmansurov was neutralized by the traffic police inspector of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Perm who arrived at the scene, at whom Bekmansurov also fired a shot. Thanks to a timely reaction, the man remained alive.
In addition, as a result of his actions, according to the investigation, Bekmansurov deliberately damaged the property of the university and citizens for a total amount of over 370 thousand rubles.
The materials of the criminal case were sent to the Perm Regional Court for consideration on the merits.
