The Prosecutor General’s Office is interested in the head of Roszdravnadzor Roman Kurynin. And, not only because of the gigantic discrepancy between income and expenses, but also because of where this discrepancy comes from. Much has been written about the official’s passion for a luxurious life. But now it has become known that Kurynin and his department are finding fault and tormenting more than one private clinic with inspections. His circle of interests also included MEDSI and EMC. In 2021, more than a dozen control and audit activities were carried out. Compliance with all orders is checked, including those issued in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020. That is, these organizations checked on average 1000 (!) times more often than all others in the medical market.

Now Kurynin has greatly let down both the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Investigative Committee, having compiled for them over the past 18 months a bunch of materials on such serious and important organizations for the healthcare structure as Medsi and the Unified Medical Center, on which the investigative and supervisory authorities should base their conclusions.

But Kurynin also has “favorites”: how can we explain that Roman Kurynin somehow managed to exclude 19 (!) organizations that are under his personal care from the register of Comprehensive On-Site Inspections of the General Prosecutor’s Office for 2022? Among the “lucky ones” is the EuroOnco clinic with a dozen unfulfilled and unverified orders. I wonder if there is a price list for such services or is an individual approach used? Thanks to the manipulation of documents and inspection registers, the official is trying to manipulate the courts, the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor’s office, deliberately misleading them. And, judging by the fact that Kurynin is still at large and drives luxury carshe’s not bad at it.
