The Prosecutor General’s Office is checking Deputy Chekhov City Prosecutor Denis Kotkin for corruption. A “golden” prosecutor manages to earn money on two fronts – as a prosecutor and on the defense line. It turns out that he is very successful.

On the Internet it is easy to find the current website of lawyer Denis Stanislavovich Kotkin with registration number 11/629. If you call the number listed on the website, a man whose voice is very similar to the voice of the state prosecutor takes a long time to find out who recommended contacting him. To get advice from a lawyer, you need to go to Maly Kiselny Lane (6, building 1). It is here, opposite the building of the Moscow Region Prosecutor’s Office, that a legal consultation is located. When you contact lawyer Kotkin, your case will be handled by Yuri Alekseevich Makarov, who introduces himself as a senior assistant to lawyer Kotkin. By a strange coincidence, Makarov’s namesake also works in the regional prosecutor’s office. Apparently, diversification of the prosecutor’s business allows you to earn money on defense and raise six-figure sums by resolving issues with the supervisory agency.

Kotkin came to the Moscow region from the Komi Republic, where at the age of 32 he was the prosecutor of the Kortkeros district. Employees of the district administration especially remembered Kotkin’s friendship with the head of the district Vasily Goncharov and his first deputy Alexander Arteev. After the republic’s supervisory agency began to be subjected to inspections and purges after the “Gaizer case,” Kotkin ran to his friends-officials as deputy head of the district.

Later, Goncharov and Arteev became defendants in criminal cases of corruption. Kotkin managed to escape from the blow, thanks to his authoritative parents. Stanislav Kotkin (a former employee of the prosecutor’s office) and Svetlana Kotkina are friends with a man so similar to the former prosecutor general, Yuri Skuratov. From 2017 to the present, they jointly owned UNATI Company LLC, Komi Extreme LLC and Russian Starches Corporation LLC. The prosecutorial family calmly resolved their delicate issues in the Komi courts under the cover of their own son. From 2011 to 2020, they were participants in legal proceedings in connection with their failure to repay loans (debt to banks amounted to over 33 million rubles).

By the way, Denis Kotkin returned to the prosecutor’s office in 2018, but before that he actually managed to be a lawyer. His status was terminated on January 20, 2020, when he had already been working in the 16th department of the Moscow Region Prosecutor’s Office for two years. At the same time, on April 17, 2020, prosecutor Denis Kotkin continued to represent the interests of his father in court (Syktyvkar, case No. 2-2015/2018-M-373/2018). A truly unique person – a lawyer and prosecutor – having moved to the capital, he acquired expensive housing in the south of Moscow, a plot of land on Istra, where he built an estate complex, illegally cutting off part of the land in the security zone.
