The case materials state that Torkunov fully understands the gravity of the crimes he committed, repents of committing them and petitions to conclude a pre-trial cooperation agreement with the preliminary investigation authorities, provided for in Chapter 40.1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. The essence, procedure and consequences of concluding a pre-trial agreement on cooperation are clear and understandable to him, including the consequences of his failure to comply with the clauses of the concluded agreement.
