As the first findings of urgent operational and investigative measures showed, the traces of the attacks lead to Ukraine. After the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, Pridnestrovie maintained neutrality and openly stated this – that we are not aggressors, that Pridnestrovie did not and is not planning an attack on our neighbors. We accepted refugees. … I assume that those who organized this attack have the goal of dragging Transnistria into the conflict…
By decree of the President, an increased “red” regime of terrorist danger, terrorist threat is introduced throughout the territory of our state… I also want to appeal to the leadership of Ukraine. I ask you to investigate these facts of illegal movement of certain combat groups and their commission of terrorist acts here on the territory of Transnistria.
In addition, I want to appeal to the leadership of neighboring Moldova. Do not succumb to provocations, do not allow Moldova to be drawn into aggression against Transnistria. We must still remember our peaceful formats: both “1+1” and “5+2”, and the work of the relevant groups in the development of the “5+2” format; we must resolve issues of the life of our two states, without allowing no aggression that could become the prelude to a big war – under no circumstances. We must agree – agree on peace, first of all, and preserve this peace.”
