According to RBC’s interlocutor, additional squads of patrol officers and traffic police officers are deployed on the main highways in the southern direction. As part of the event, the police selectively stop vehicles and check them against the databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
“Officers pay special attention to cars arriving from the southern regions, especially from Ukraine,” noted a source close to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. 
He also said that a reserve of employees has been created in police departments, who must arrive at the duty station by order of management. “They were advised not to leave their region of residence and to be constantly in touch,” the source added.
Earlier, the Cheka-OGPU reported that at a conference call at the Main Directorate of the Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs, all employees were ordered to move around the city armed.
