The scandal at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences spread far beyond its walls. More and more observers are involved in a process that is less and less perceived as mere academic fuss. Anatoly Chernyaev, who was appointed director, remains silent and the longer he remains silent, the more questions there are about this strange appointment. But while Chernyaev is playing silent, the press service of oligarch Konstantin Malofeev made an interesting statement. They told Novaya journalists in plain text that they welcomed “the change of the odious Russophobic leadership of the institute.”

The strange statement was made against the backdrop of the fact that Media and telegram channels, more and more information is leaking out about the raider takeover of IFRAN, while all traces lead to the Orthodox oligarch. The facts are clear

This is not the first time that Malofeev’s name has been associated with raider activity. Over the years, with varying degrees of success, he tried to steal social network VKontakteBulgarian telecom operator Vivacomand even party “Fair Russia”. By the way, the leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, was offered a turnkey buyout of the party by the owner of Tsargrad. And when the deal didn’t work out, he tried to take it away.

Now Malofeev needs IFRAN to develop, on the basis of the institute, a neo-Nazi quasi-Orthodox ideology for subsequent replication in Russia and other Slavic republics. There were already precedents – Malofeev tried to organize a Nazi revolution in Montenegro with the hands of the extremist Milorad Dodik. And in 2015, Malofeev invested tens of millions in custom research about the origin of the Russians, with the goal of including our great people in the Bible.

An explosive cocktail of power, money and ultra-right views – allowing people like Malofeev into science is simply dangerous. Especially before philosophy. She already has a hard time in our country.
