The next shocks await the energy sector of St. Petersburg. No sooner had the police searches related to the multimillion-dollar thefts in the city Vodokanal and Lenenergo died down, because of which Putin’s “massage therapist” oligarch Konstantin Goloshchapov urgently left the country, when the regional FSB got involved in the case. According to the Cheka-OGPU, the FSB Directorate for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region is working on the facts of huge thefts on contracts of the State Unitary Enterprise “TEK”. We are talking about the period from 2015 to 2021, when more than 2.5 billion rubles were transferred to the accounts of contractors SK Set-Energo LLC and Rus-Stroy LLC from the State Unitary Enterprise Fuel and Energy Complex. Investigators rightly believe that more than 500 million rubles of this money were simply cashed out through fictitious companies controlled by the contractors’ managers and cynically stolen, and work for such a serious amount was not actually carried out. Budget money was withdrawn by businessmen to one-day accounts in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Vologda and other cities. At the moment, the operational work is close to completion and all persons involved in the fraudulent scheme have already been identified. Further work will be carried out within the framework of a criminal case, the investigation of which we will definitely write about.
