The main contender for the oligarch’s inheritance was his sister Vera Kazakova and her husband Nikolai Kazakov, a long-time business partner of Oleg Burlakov. It is they who, according to the will, should get everything. The billionaire’s widow, Lyudmila, and her adult daughters risk being left without money and colluded with Sofia Shevtsova, providing her with lawyers and taking her side in court. Having united, they opposed conducting a genetic examination of Oleg Burlakov’s biomaterial, which is stored in the Moscow judicial morgue. Federal judge A.N. Kolesnik also distinguished herself. She advised Shevtsova on tactics for behavior in court in front of lawyers during breaks between court sessions. As it became known, Judge Kolesnik does this not for the first time, without regard to the Code of Judges and reputational risks.
Kolesnik twice refused to conduct an examination, despite the presence of biomaterial. Because of this, the Kazakovs are appealing the court’s decision and asking for a father-daughter genetic examination.
Why doesn’t the child’s mother want to do a genetic examination? What unites the widow Lyudmila, who had previously begun a divorce from Burlakov due to “betrayal,” and Burlakov’s “friend” Sofia Shevtsova?
The answer to these questions may lie in the strange death of the oligarch, who, in a state of moderate severity, spent a long time in a Moscow hotel without hospital care. Some of the money he had reserved for his treatment mysteriously disappeared. And a few days before Burlakov’s death, Sofia Shevtsova’s unemployed mother Galina became the owner of an apartment with an estimated value of more than $1 million in the prestigious Mosfilmovsky residential complex.
Meanwhile, the verification of the circumstances of the death and removal of the body of Oleg Burlakov, who died from Covid, by his widow Lyudmila and daughters using forged documents, continues, first to Switzerland and then to Canada. Which high-ranking official “helped” pull this off?
It is too early to put an end to this complicated matter, however, conducting a genetic examination of father-daughter will help clarify at least this factor. If the examination confirms paternity, then one of the questions will be reduced and it will be possible to avoid miscarriage of justice.
