The Naples Court of Appeal released Ukrainian director Yevgeny Lavrenchuk under house arrest. He was arrested at the request of Russia.

Earlier, a source of the Cheka-OGPU said that the following criminal story is connected with the chief director of the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater Evgeny Lavrenchuk, which formed the basis of the criminal case.

The Polish Theater in Moscow, headed by him, was actively involved in educational activities. The theater management, under the pretext of carrying out renovations in the classrooms to resume the educational process, asked students to take out microloans, the repayment of which was guarantored by Lavrenchuk personally. The students were promised that the Polish Theater would promptly repay all microloans. The money went directly to a company associated with Lavrenchuk, and then to the accounts of the Polish Theater in Moscow. This theater eventually went bankrupt, the microloans were not repaid, after which the structure that provided them filed claims against the students and Lavrenchuk. Lavrenchuk himself left Russia, the students submitted an application to the Central Administrative District Internal Affairs Directorate, where a case was opened under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
