The Murmansk Swineherd channel claims that today’s searches in the apartments of Arctic Observer journalists Vyacheslav Gorodetsky and Dmitry Artemenko are related to a criminal case, which published excerpts from an article by the Cheka, the OGPU and rucriminal.info as well as our own investigation into the possible theft of budget funds during the purchase and installation of warm stations in Murmansk. The case was initiated at the request of a regional government official.

The publication stated that the installed stopping complexes were initially not suitable for operation in the Far North, since they did not have a closed circuit (there was no entrance door) and there were ventilated gaps between the asphalt and the closed stopping circuit. These complexes are intended for the southern regions, customers were notified about this. Governor of the Murmansk region Andrei Chibis, despite the information received, instructed his former deputy Yuri Serdechkin to purchase these complexes from a controlled supplier.

Naturally, the situation related to the withdrawal of budget funds and the revealed details angered high-ranking corrupt officials and they began to strangle local journalists who dared to talk about all this.
