The gist of the story is this. Yakobashvili had a long-time friend and partner, Boris Minakhi, with whom they had a huge quarrel over a large elevator and a number of other assets. Yakobashvili was ill at that time and most of his affairs were handled by David Mirzoev. He had an assistant in criminal matters, Batyr Bekmuradov, whom he sent as the head of the security service to his senior comrade thief in law Zakhar Kalashov. It was Bekmuradov’s militants, at Mirzoev’s go-ahead, who kidnapped businessman, US citizen Boris Minakhi and his driver on Rublevskoye Highway and took them to one of the construction sites. Mirzoev and Bekmuradov arrived there with false mustaches, beards and wigs (so as not to be identified). They began to demand that Minakhi rewrite the shares of a large elevator. Minakhi promised to do everything, he was released and he immediately went to the police with a statement.
This matter has become a matter of principle for the current head of the Directorate of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Ivan Tkachev. It is very important for him to ruin it, to work with the jury so that Mirzoev, who has become his ward, does not go to a colony, and also to cast doubt on all the collected materials.
After all, during the investigation of this case, materials were collected about the receipt of bribes by ICR investigator Ruslan Miniakhmetov and an employee of the 6th Service (headed at the time of the events by Ivan Tkachev) of the Internal Security Bureau of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Ulyanov. The money was handed over to them by the solver Andrei Matus, who also solved problems for Mirzoev.
Matus at that moment was simultaneously deciding on various criminal cases and topics for which the security forces were owed more than 700 million rubles. Stop the criminal prosecution of Matus’s partner Valery Semenduev – 5 million euros (the case was investigated by Miniakhmetov). Initiate a case and send to a pre-trial detention center the entire entourage of businessman Boris Minakhi, who was in conflict with Yakobashvili. For this, oligarch David Yakobashvili and his “right hand” David Mirzoev promised a total of 200 million rubles (advance 100 million rubles). Stop a large, billion-dollar case concerning the structures of millionaire Shalva Gibradze. For this, too, the amount of 200 million rubles was indicated. It was also necessary to help solve the problems of Yakobashvili and Mirzoev on smaller stories – $1 million. Since all these topics were “moving” at the same time, the parties agreed that they would not divide the bribes between the cases. There is a total amount in the region of more than 700 million rubles and it must be repaid in installments. As money becomes available, the work will be completed in stages. For example, the prosecution of Semenduev will be stopped when a total of 5 million euros has been received. For most of the expensive issues, Miniakhmetov and his friend Dmitry Ulyanov acted as intermediaries, claiming that they would share money with the “father generals.” It is worth noting that a significant part of what was promised to the investigators and operatives was fulfilled.
When all this “came to light” Ulyanov was fired. They wanted to imprison Miniakhmetov, but Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, who is Ivan Tkachev’s godfather, did not allow this to happen.
