in a criminal case about the occupation of the highest position in the criminal hierarchy by Oleg Pirogov, nicknamed Tsirkach.
According to investigators, on May 12, 2011, Pirogov, nicknamed Tsirkach, while in Moscow, in accordance with the traditions of criminal communities, confirmed knowledge of their rules, as well as traditions, and took the highest position in the criminal hierarchy.
From 2011 to 2021 Pirogov, already as a person occupying a senior position in the criminal hierarchy, created conditions for committing crimes in the Moscow region, merging the interests of organized crime, and also directly participated in the division of spheres of criminal influence and the distribution of criminal proceeds.
Since Pirogov hid from law enforcement agencies, he was put on the wanted list on behalf of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office.
In July 2020, he was detained on the territory of the Republic of Poland, after which the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a request to the competent authorities of this state for his extradition for criminal prosecution; in May 2021, Pirogov, accompanied by a special convoy, was brought to Russia.
The criminal case will soon be sent to the Moscow Regional Court for consideration on the merits. The accused is in custody.
