The Moscow City Prosecutor’s Office approved an indictment in a criminal case against 43-year-old thief in law Rashad Ismailov. He is accused of committing crimes under Part 1 of Art. 210.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (occupation of the highest position in the criminal hierarchy), clause “a, e, g”, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, in a generally dangerous manner, against two persons), Part 2 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and carrying of firearms and ammunition).

It was established that on May 13, 2009, Ismailov and his accomplice, the criminal case against whom was separated into a separate proceeding, while located opposite a cafe on Izmailovskoye Highway, fired at least 22 shots from a Kalashnikov assault rifle and at least 7 shots from a Tokarev TT pistol at two men in a parked BMW car. The victims died on the spot from their injuries.

After this, in February 2013, Ismailov, at a meeting of persons occupying a senior position in the criminal hierarchy, received the status of “thief in law”, obliging, according to existing norms and rules, all persons in the criminal environment with lower criminal statuses to obey his will, instructions and orders.
He also directly controlled the distribution of funds flowing into the informal thieves’ treasury, providing leadership in the search for new legal and illegal sources of income.
