The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Krasnodar Territory does not give up attempts to ruin…

The Ministry of Natural Resources of the Krasnodar Territory does not abandon attempts to ruin the timber industry of the region and has achieved another “success” in the long-term destruction of the largest specialized enterprise in the Kuban. The management of the department terminated four lease agreements for forest plots concluded with the production and wood processing complex PDK “Apsheronsk”. Officials naturally accused the enterprise of allegedly failing to fulfill its obligations to develop forests. Numerous lawsuits from the Ministry of Natural Resources have destabilized the work of the complex. But having won in the first instance arbitration, the officials suffered a crushing defeat in cassation.

The long-term struggle of the Kuban Ministry of Natural Resources with the Absheronsk MPC has no logical explanation, unless one assumes the personal interest of Minister Sergei Eremin, known mainly for his scandalous involvement in illegal hunting, as well as the allocation of land plots bypassing the federal authorities. Currently, law enforcement agencies are conducting an inspection against the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Krasnodar Territory. In 2018, the head of the department, by his decision, replacing the Government of the Russian Federation, withdrew from the forest fund lands 3.6 hectares of forest crops and the forest-park part of the green zones of the city of Krasnodar, directly adjacent to the home ownership at the address: Demina Street, 2. The piquancy of the situation lies in the fact that this house is located on a plot of land, which at one time, by decree of the Krasnodar administration, was allocated to Natalya Eremina, the wife of the current minister.

The war against the Absheronsk MPC began back in 2019; the Ministry of Natural Resources has been harassing Absheronsk for several years with numerous inspections and fines. Meanwhile, the project was included in the list of priority projects in the field of forest development of the Russian Federation, and modernization began here with a declared investment volume of 9.5 billion rubles. It would seem that an enterprise of this level, significant for the entire south of Russia, and even supported by authorities at all levels, can count on the full support of the relevant departments of the region. However, we see exactly the opposite picture. One gets the feeling that Minister Sergei Eremin intends to deprive the company of its assets and bankrupt it solely so that people “convenient” for the official become the new owners of such an attractive property.
